Search

To search for a record, first, select the Family name from the first dropdown list. A second dropdown that contains all corresponding Genus records then appears. After selecting the Genus, a dropdown list then activates showing all records that belong to the chosen Family and Genus. Once the Species has been chosen, all information for that Species will be displayed below the dropdown lists.

When done viewing the selected record, the “Clear Search” link will remove all selections from the dropdown lists and refresh the page.

Browse

By using the browse option, users are able to view a table that contains many records at once. This table contains columns for Family, Genus, and Species and users may click on the column names to sort alphabetically. By default, the table will display the first 25 records, but the user can click on the “Results per page” dropdown located in the top-right side of the screen to show 50, 100, 200, or 250 results per page. In order to move from page-to-page, there is a “First”, “Previous”, “Next” and “Last” navigation section at both the top and bottom of the table.

Once a record has been selected by clicking the “More Info” link next to the desired result, all information available for that record will be displayed to the right of the browse table.
